We are happy to announce that European Society of Thoracic Surgeons has established the School of Thoracic Surgery.
One of the main aims of ESTS is to provide high quality educational opportunities for thoracic surgeons. The School in Antalya has two main goals: continuous education in thoracic surgery and close professional interaction between young and senior surgeons worldwide.
The calendar of the School is prepared to match the need for trainees who are in the late period of their residency programme and for surgeons who are in the first 2 years of independent practice in thoracic surgery. In addition, we are aiming at recertification-revalidation processes for established consultants.
The format will be highly interactive, with case presentations, short “essentials” lectures, operative video, multiple choice questions and group discussions. The lectures are being written by invited experts, in a highly concentrated design. The teachers at the school will be very much available to explore areas of controversy and uncertainty.
Only the first 50 applications will be accepted in this first course of the School so that we can keep a close interactive educational format. Please make your application (via ESTS web site) soon to register to the ESTS School.
